The final thing we recommend is to avoid cheesy pick up lines and just be yourself. There’s no reason why you can’t show your funny side once you start the conversation with your potential date. Try to relax yourelf as much as possible before you pluck up the courage to ask someone out.
Take a few deep breaths and then just walk up to the girl or guy and say ‘Hi, how’s it going?’. Perhaps offer them a compliment like ‘I really like your shirt’ or ‘Those are beautiful earrings’.
It’s usually best to avoid any specific comments on physical features at this point in time as some people can find this quite intrusive from a stranger. Also try not to touch the person or invade their personal space, this can also be a big turn off if your potential date thinks your sleezy.
